Welcome to WMFC Barcelona 2016 !!!
On behalf of the team Galens-Catalonia and the World Medical Football Federation we welcome you to the 22nd World Medical Football Championships WMFC Barcelona 2016 (July 9-16)
This year the Championship has been enlarged to 22 National Teams taking part in the 11 a-side Morell Cup, plus 12 Teams also participating in the 7 a- side “Masters” Vogel Cup. A special warm welcome to the new Teams of Canada, Denmark and Uzbekistan.
Overall, we expect more than 700 players and 500 supporters to be involved in a week of sport, science and friendship.
All events related to Championship will take place at official Hotel Fairmont Juan Carlos I and at the Conference Center next to it (Palau de Congressos de Catalunya).
Competitions will take place at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, the training fields of FC Barcelona.
We invite all participants to take some time to enjoy Barcelona, certainly among the coolest towns in Europe. The offer is huge for all kinds of leisure interests: history, art, music, architecture, food, sports, beach, nightlife…
We have assigned a TeamMate to each Country, with the aim of making your time in Barcelona a wonderful experience. Please seek his advice as your local contact friend.
